Resilience Investor (resilienceinvestor.com) is run by Witty Media Group. This page explains what information the site collects, why, and what you can do about it. Short version: I collect as little as I can get away with, I don’t sell it, and I don’t want your data any more than you want to give it to me.
What gets collected
- Analytics. The site uses Google Analytics (through Google Site Kit) to see which pages get read and how people find them. That uses cookies and collects things like your browser type, device, approximate location (city or region, not your address), the pages you visit, and how you arrived.
- Comments. If you leave a comment, the site stores your name, email address, website (if you give one), the comment itself, your IP address and your browser string, mainly to filter spam. Your email is never shown publicly.
- Forms and spam protection. Forms on this site are protected by hCaptcha, which may collect device and usage data to tell people apart from bots. That data is handled under hCaptcha’s own privacy policy.
- Security. The site uses Wordfence to block attacks. It logs IP addresses and visit details to spot malicious traffic.
- Caching. Pages are cached for speed (LiteSpeed Cache and the host’s server cache). This may set technical cookies that don’t identify you.
Embedded videos
Videos on this site are embedded from YouTube. When you play one, YouTube (owned by Google) may set cookies and collect data about you under Google’s privacy policy, the same as if you watched on YouTube directly.
Affiliate links
Some links on this site may be affiliate links. When you click one, the company on the other end may set a cookie to credit the referral if you buy something. That cookie belongs to them, not me. See the Disclaimer & Affiliate Disclosure for more.
What I don’t do
- I don’t sell your personal information.
- I don’t share it with anyone except the services listed on this page, which need it to run the site.
- I don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, though analytics won’t count your visit and some embedded content may not load.
How long it’s kept
Comments and their details are kept as long as the comment is on the site. Analytics data is kept according to Google Analytics retention settings. Security logs are kept for a limited period and then deleted.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see the personal data held about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to how it’s used. To ask, email adam@wittymediagroup.com. I’ll respond within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Big changes will be noted on the site.
